October 28 – 30, 2009 saw Canadian supply chain management professionals join academics from around the globe in Toronto to hear about cutting-edge research at the Seventh Annual International Symposium on Supply Chain Management. This year’s symposium theme focused on “Managing Supply Chain Networks During Uncertain Times.”

A highlight of this year’s event was the Best Paper Award. All academic papers were reviewed by a panel of leading supply chain researchers. In the end, the panel felt that two papers were equally deserving of this honour and awarded the 2009 Best Paper Award to: Dr. Kamel Fantazy, Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Canada and Dr. M. Asif Salam, University of the Fraser Valley, Canada.
